Our Team

Andrew
Cofounder/Primary Mentor

Andrew’s battle with substance addiction began at a young age, leading to a series of unsuccessful attempts at achieving lasting recovery. Feeling broken and hopeless, he made the decision to seek treatment in Southern California, determined to find a way out of the grip of addiction. Despite going through various treatment facilities, outpatient programs, and sober living environments, Andrew found himself back where he started.

However, his desire for true and permanent recovery never wavered. Surrounding himself with individuals who had successfully overcome addiction, Andrew discovered the power of community support and became an active member in the 12-step program. Slowly but surely, he started accumulating days, weeks, and months of sobriety. During this time, Andrew actively rebuilt his life, engaging in work, attending 12-step meetings, and exploring new hobbies and activities.

Today, Andrew proudly stands as a testament to the transformative potential of recovery. With over 5 years of sobriety, he has dedicated his life to guiding others and their families onto a path of lasting change. Andrew’s personal experience with addiction, combined with his years of working in the recovery field, has equipped him with a unique understanding and effectiveness in helping individuals overcome substance addiction.

Andrew firmly believes that the cyclical experience of failed recovery can be broken, and he is committed to making a difference one person at a time. His passion lies in providing a solid foundation of community, support, and recovery, giving hope to those who suffer from addiction.

John
Cofounder

John has personal experience in substance abuse recovery. Having spent 12 months in a transitional living home he was able to build the foundation and community of a successful and fulfilling life without drugs and alcohol. John is a recognized and beloved member of the Los Angeles 12-Step community and is often asked to share his experience, strength, and hope at AA meetings. John has become a hopeful, kindhearted, and responsible man largely due in part to the tools and principles that were reinforced on a daily basis during his own transitional living experience. Through Eric’s House John is able to share with others the model of what has been so successful for him personally. His ability and desire to help people is easy to experience.

John spent six years working across the substance abuse continuum of care at numerous treatment facilities in the Los Angeles area. These experiences at Transcend, Authentic Recovery, and Start Up Recovery provided John not only with a wealth of knowledge but a wide network of professionals should their additional support be required by a client of Eric’s House. He has completed his CADC (California Alcohol and Drug Counselor) coursework.

John’s other passions included music, the great outdoors, and astronomy.

Conor
Cofounder

Conor is a young sober male who has been in the recovery community in Southern California since 2015. He has gained experience working in the field of recovery services as a recovery coach and support staff for Riviera Recovery. Conor has a B.A in Economics from Seaver College at Pepperdine University. His background in business development and finance has uniquely prepared him to be able to be an important founding member of Eric’s House Recovery.

Since Conor is not from the area, he has worked hard to figure out ways to get involved in the community and to make a home on the West Coast. His problem-solving and resilience have allowed him to try his hand at many things and find where he truly excels: helping other people find their path. Conor is passionate about physical wellness, sports, and lifelong learning. He loves to cook and spend time with his dogs, Juno and Beau.
